The 0-720 engine is unique amongst contemporary aero-engines in that it is a flat, eight-cylinder design featuring four cylinders per side.[citation needed] It displaces 720 cubic inches and is not common.[citation needed] Certain conversions of the Beechraft Queen Air, Twin Bonanza and Aero Commander utilze this engine, as well as the Piper 400 Comanche. The engine is typically fuel-injected and produces 400 h.p. It is not, as sometimes reported, two 0-360 engines bolted together,[citation needed] though it shares many features with the smaller engine.
