Luzviminda Tancangco is a filipino lawyer and was the first female acting chairman of the Philippine election commission, the COMELEC. She is one of the only four woman appointed to the Philippine Election Commission.

On August 2002, the NAMFREL and other civil society organizations filed an impeachment complain against the female election commissioner. It was endorsed by Rep. Monico Fuentevella. The charges were Culpable violation of the Constitution and betrayal of public trust[1]
