Should there be a note about white corn not being a good source of Luteins? I ask this since "corn" is listed and linked to as a good source of Luteins. I know that yellow corn is (5,276 micrograms versus the 279 in white corn as-per the USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference) a good source of Luteins. I have yet to check out other forms of corn/maize due to a time crunch. Jamorton 02:02, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

600 known carotenoids? I can't find that many on this site. Twilight Realm 01:20, 6 January 2006 (UTC)

I suggest looking into the scientific literature. Icek 03:03, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Why is there no mention of Lutein in the reproductive system? What is its role and where/how is it produced in response to Luteinizing Hormone? Anyone? Horia 23:28, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Because it apparently has no role there. What you probably mean is the corpus luteum which only shares the yellow color with the xanthophyll lutein. Icek 06:14, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
