[edit] Where do the lunar plaques reside now? Are they kept on the moon?

- They were attached on the Lunar Module's ladder located on the descent stage. The descent stage was left on the moon. The only plaque that wasn't left on the moon was the Apollo 13 plaque. Andy120290 20:53, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Should the custom of the engineers scribbling their initials on the legs of all the Landers using a graphite pencil be mentioned?

[edit] Squares?
The article states: "Lunar plaques are square stainless steel plaques (9" x 7 5/8")..." I don't want to appear pedantic, but how can a square have different legth sides? A square whose sides are of different length are RECTANGLES. Unless anybody has a sound explanation to why the term "square" is correct, I urge that this fault be rectified.
