[edit] Merging with Energy Blue

It has been proposed that this article be merged with the article Energy Blue into one article, Windows XP Themes (or something similar). This new article could discuss the Luna, Royale, Classic and any other themes designed for Windows XP. I agree with this idea, does anyone else have any input? --Tech Nerd 00:10, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Original Discussion
  • Although a little late, I completely agree with that. It doesn't make sense to have the theme aritcles divided. Before I liked the articles together (see also section), readers wouldn't know that the other even existed. -KULSHRAX 10:59, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
    • Also, there is a Windows XP Themes section in the Theme (computing) article, but it only contains screenshots. -KULSHRAX 11:03, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] About to remove the fair-use gallery

According to administrator soum and numerous precedents, "displaying copyrighted images in a gallery or list is an absolute no-no". --tyomitch 10:44, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Elements not part of Luna

The non-style related elements of the explorer, the start-menu and the taskbar, are not part of Luna, but of Windows Explorer, and are available whether Luna is active, inactive, or replaced with something else. Shinobu 03:42, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Also, its (supposed) resource intensiveness has nothing to do with it called a Fisher-Price interface. This article calls for some heavy-handed editing. Shinobu 03:44, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Luna Screenshots

I think that the old screenshots that were once on this page should be re-added, because all of the variations of Luna are discussed, so they should be shown. The screenshots themselves are very uniform and provide good comparison. -KULSHRAX 01:19, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Windows XP Olive Green.png

Image:Windows XP Olive Green.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
