[edit] Song information
The song was written by all three band members (Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire, Emily Robison) alongside Dan Wilson and is dedicated to their children.
Band members Natalie and Emily declared the following about the writing process of the song[1]:
- Emily: "That was the last song that was written for the album. We felt like we said everything we wanted to say, it was time to write a song about our kids."
- Natalie: "It's a song that you're really going to get and is going to make you cry if you have kids. If you're a teenager, I guess you can skip over it!"
[edit] Chart performance
Beside the fact that it was never officially released as a single, the song was able to chart on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 and Pop 100 charts due to strong digital sales.
