[edit] Luie Hond has quit

In October 2007, this band discontinued activities for good. Several news articles are available about this, but they all quote this interview from 3VOOR12/Friesland with singer/guitarist Joris Mous. He said the following:

"Er speelt van alles in een band, maar uiteindelijk is de belangrijkste reden: het geld. Het is financieel te moeilijk om er van rond te komen. We hebben op enig moment gezegd dat we alles op alles zouden zetten om er van te kunnen leven, en als je dan na 10 jaar vaststelt dat dit niet lukt, dan moet je ermee ophouden. We leven in een downloadtijdperk en je moet op zijn minst een hele dikke hit scoren om wat te verdienen. We hebben daar met ons tweede album Met Liefde echt op ingezet, maar dat is niet gelukt. We zijn wel succesvol. We hebben altijd drukke optredens, goede reacties, en de plaat verkocht ook wel. Maar niet genoeg om van rond te komen. En we willen kwaliteit leveren, dus verder gaan als hobbybandje was geen optie."

Translation:

"All kind of things are going on within a band, but the most important reason is: the money. It is financially very difficult to make ends meet. We tried everything to be able to live of it, but if you have to conclude after 10 years that you can't, then you have to stop. We live in a download-age and you should at least score a very big hit to make some profit. We really did our best to have one on our second album Met Liefde ["With Love"], but we didn't succeed. We are succesfull. Our concerts are allways well-attended, positive reactions, and the record did sell. But not enough to make ends meet. And we do want to deliver quality, so continuing as a little hobby-band was not an option."

Too bad, I always enjoyed their vids on TV. To pay them some honour, I have expanded this article a bit, using information from the Dutch WP. - Face 21:34, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
