Luger Industries, Inc. was a manufacturer of kit boats.
Founded by brothers O.L. (Orm) and R.J. (Ren) Luger in the garage behind the family home, the Luger brothers began selling wooden kit boats in 1952, pioneered the all-fiberglass kit boat market in 1959, and was soon considered "The World's Largest Manufacturer of Kit Boats."
The company produced dozens of models including power boats and sail boats. It is estimated that the company sold 100,000 boat kits during its operation.
Luger Boats closed for business in 1987, after 35 successful years in the marine industry.
