[edit] Refs urgently needed

This looks okay to my unknowledgeable eye, but WP:BLP is pretty firm about referencing requirements. Every statement of fact needs a reference. Please dive in and add the sources - David Gerard 16:27, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

I have just had a long conversation with the subject; Ms. Noland was very upset about the prior vandalism. We walked through the article line by line and the revision (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lucy_Noland&oldid=111358694) is factually correct, but as David says, we are lacking additional external sources. Please remove any personal information (birthdates, children, etc.) on sight. Ms. Noland expressed her view that if she is notable, we have the obligation to get the details right. Please be very careful to source any revisions properly.--Brad Patrick 17:11, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Removed something irrelevant about her childhood which had been inserted into the career section.

[edit] Blocked

I just blocked User:Mjxst for not following the advice given here, and there.--Brad Patrick 15:17, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] What's the deal with the huge volume of anon edits?

Is this an obsessive fan or something? A2Kafir 02:26, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unblock this page

I do feel that this page should not be blocked. Yes, the user made a lot of edits to this particular article, but maybe it was because he/she wanted everyone to know the current updates about this person. It is not fair to other wikipedia readers that this page be blocked, seeing that no one knows what happened to Lucy Noland recently anyway. Bo456 15:15, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Update on Lucy

I received an email from a friend in the TV News Business who says Lucy will debut Monday as the new primary co-anchor at Belo's KHOU-11-CBS in Houston. How can we get this put in the article? I would like the credit.

There are more categories that needs to be added to the page. There is another category that the article needs to include. Charles Hunter 14:23, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

As this is not readily sourceable, there's no reason to include it. Cary Bass demandez 12:56, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Why wouldn't a local news anchor...

...be notable? A2Kafir 15:36, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Simply put, Ms. Noland has the same job that several thousand people have around the country. The concern is that, based on the content of the article right now, Ms. Noland doesn't have enough history to be a "local fixture", nor achievements above and beyond others in her field that would prompt "article worthiness" in WP. Just being on TV isn't enough. Amnewsboy 09:36, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
