The article says "major general" but the photo has three stars (lieutenant general). What's up with that?

Edited some things, such as the picture(moving it from the right to the center and removing the useless caption), as well as adding the Early life headline.

(new comment) Not sure why Melvin Zais is shown as successor in command of the Third Army -- he commanded 3A some 26 years after Truscott. Best I can tell, General Gillem took command of 3A in 1947 in Atlanta, but there may have an interim commander as well. Found it - will edit main article. W. B. Wilson 04:56, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
