Lucky Igbinedion

Lucky Igbinedion (born 13 May 1957) was governor of Edo State in Nigeria from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007. He is a member of the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP).He was declared wanted by the economic and financial crime commission on a 142 count of financial fraud.[1] He recently handed himself over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and is charged with 142 counts of corruption. This concerns claims that he embezzled $24 million (£12m) using front companies.[2][3] The Benin Youth Council asked for an apology for statements implying he ran away from justice.[4]
