[edit] Lucky Dog Publishing

Lucky Dog Publishing of SC was started in 2005 by publisher Lynn Pierotti and editor Heather Holbrook. The first started as a 16 page
bi-weekly community newspaper for the islands of Sullivan’s and Isle of Palms of the coast of Charleston, SC and has since
blossomed into a 28 page newspaper featuring top local issues, resident features, popular local columnists, a kid’s activity page
and plenty of community activities. It is mailed to every home on both islands, as well as two islands off the coast of
Isle of Palms; Goat Island and Dewees Island.
In May of 2007, Lucky Dog Publishing began publishing its second paper, the Island Connection. The Island Connection is 16 pages
and is distributed to every two weeks to all of the residents of Kiawah and Seabrook Islands. It features a “Get out of
Town” activity each issue in the calendar section, activities at the St. John’s library, Charleston Symphony Orchestra
highlights, Town council reports, columns by popular local figures including a gardening column, golf column and book review, and
community activity spotlights.
