Lucia von Bardas is a Marvel Comics character.
[edit] Character History
Lucia von Bardas is a Latverian woman who used to teach at the University of North Carolina in the United States. After Victor von Doom was deposed as the leader of Latveria, the Americans helped von Bardas get elected as the Prime Minister of Latveria. She then began publicly mending the ties between the two countries.
In truth, von Bardas was secretly funding American technology-based supercriminals through the Tinkerer. S.H.I.E.L.D. found out about this, but the President didn’t take measures that Nick Fury, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. had suggested.
In a panic, Fury gathered a group of heroes consisting of Black Widow, Captain America, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Spider-Man, Wolverine, and S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Daisy Johnson for an undercover mission to overthrow the Latverian government and assassinate von Bardas. In Latveria, S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Daisy Johnson used her seismic powers to take down Castle Doom, apparently killing von Bardas.
Nevertheless, von Bardas survived but became a deformed cyborg. A year later she attacked Luke Cage and put him in a coma and sent the tech villains in debt to her after other heroes implicated in the “secret war”. Von Bardas eventually entered the fight herself and activated the villains’ tech material, which created an anti-matter bomb when combined together. She was taken down again by Daisy Johnson, who hit Lucia's power source with her seismic powers. This surged the bomb and shut down von Bardas. It remains to be seen in what kind of condition she survived the incident.
