Luchteren
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Luchteren is the most rural parish of Drongen, which is itself a sub-municipality of Ghent, East Flanders, Flanders, Belgium.
Most shops and other important features are located in the main streets Beekstraat, Antoon Catriestraat, Boskeetstraat and Gavergrachtstraat, the last one holding the small parish church, the only (primary) school and the only café of the village. An important hamlet is Halewijn.
Luchteren borders the Drongen parishes of Baarle (south) and Drongen-Centre (east), the Ghent sub-municipality of Mariakerke (northeast), the Nevele sub-municipality of Merendree, and Vinderhoute, Lovendegem's only sub-municipality.
