Loxene

Loxene has at least two meanings:
- A shampoo sold in Australia and New Zealand during the 1960, produced by Reckitt & Colman. The name has survived as The Loxene Gold Disc, a version of the New Zealand Music Awards between 1965 and 1972, given for best album.
- A detergent made by BASF, used in some hopitals until 1967. It was withdrawn after people fell ill or died, apparently from one its active ingredients, pentachlorophenol. It was the object of at least two law suits.
