Lovedean is a small village located in Hampshire in southern England. It is north of Portsmouth, over Portsdown Hill. The nearest town neighbouring Lovedean is Waterlooville.
The nearest villages are Cowplain, Clanfield and Horndean.
The village of Lovedean is situated around the main road Lovedean Lane, which is at the bottom of the valley after which it is named (dean is from the old English word Denu meaning valley).
Lovedean Village Hall is well used and there are two pubs, the 'Green Dragon' and 'The Bird in Hand' as well as a few shops. It also has a sizable 400kV Electrical Substation.
