In Japan, love pillows are a subset of dakimakura (抱き枕, literally "hugging pillow") and a type of inflatable sex toy. They usually have life-size pictures of anime characters or porn actresses on them and contain one or more holes.

It is used by inserting the penis into the hole for masturbation.
