Lov Grover

Lov Kumar Grover (b. 1961) is an Indian-American computer scientist. He is the originator of the Grover database search algorithm used in quantum computing. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He served a short while as an assistant professor at Cornell University but quit the job due to the intense competition for recognition. Later his algorithm would be taught all over the country in graduate level programs in schools like MIT.

He is a distinguished member of the technical staff in physical sciences research at Bell Labs in New Jersey.
