Louis Gallois

Louis Gallois (born January 26, 1944) is a French businessman and currently the CEO of EADS, and CEO of Airbus.
Louis René Fernand Gallois was born in Montauban where he obtains the degree of Baccaulaureat in 1961 followed of the graduate of Business School HEC in 1966 and Administration School ENA in 1972.
Gallois has headed Snecma (1989-1992) Aérospatiale (1992-1996) and SNCF (1996-2006).
Gallois was appointed to EADS on 2 July 2006 following the resignation of Noël Forgeard. Forgeard resigned after allegations of insider trading, which he denied. Forgeard sold EADS stock weeks before its Airbus subsidiary announced the Airbus A380 would be delayed again. The announcement caused a 26% slump in the EADS share price.
As of the 9 October 2006 Louis Gallois replaced Christian Streiff as the CEO of the aircraft manufacturer Airbus S.A.S.
