Altstadt (English: Old Town) is a district in the Swiss city of Zürich. It is known as District 1. District 1 encompasses the same area that was once the total area of the city of Zürich in 1893. Administratively, District 1 is divided into four parts by the Zürich statistical office. The four parts are:
- Rathaus
- Hochschulen
- Lindenhof
- City
These divisions are only for statistical purposes, and do not represent any geographical boundaries.
