Hi wikipedians,

My real name is Alexandre Leroux. I live in Montréal, Canada.

I am spending a lot of time improving and participating within the geospatial community. I lead or participate in various volunteer teams. All projects (as far as I can remember :-) I participate in are open and community-oriented.

I am the main founder of slashgeo.org, a community-driven ad-free site for geospatial news and discussions. I work for Environment Canada in Montréal (Québec). I also co-founded the Applied-GIS-RS mailing list a few years ago and maintain the ARSIST satellite summary table. I participate within the GeoNET network for geospatial issues regarding the Government of Canada.
