[edit] "His mind is intact"?

The article contains the line:

His mind is intact and he continues to enjoy music and having people read to him.

I hope for Lorenzo's sake that this is true, but I think we need a cite. The last I heard on this subject, there was some controversy about whether he could really understand. Alki 01:20, 3 December 2006 (UTC)


Perhaps I have more research to do on the topic, but I just finished rewatching Lorenzo's Oil and the "epilogue" stated that, as of film making in 1992, Lorenzo had regained his sight, could move his head, and could communicate via simple sounds.
