Lorimer Street is a local station on the BMT Jamaica Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of Lorimer Street and Broadway in Brooklyn, it is served by the J train at all times except weekdays in the peak direction, and the M train at all times except late nights and weekends. The Z train bypasses the station when it operates.
The southeast exit to Wallabout Street once had a mezzanine, but has since been removed. The south exit to Lorimer Street has a crossunder and on the northbound side is a work stair leading to a level above the mezzanine. Some sections of the windscreen features mesh to allow a view of the streets below.
The 2002 artwork here is called Roundlet Series by Annette Davidek.[1] It has a floral and vines theme.
