When Lorenzo Borgomeo was young he met his best friend, UFC fighter, Alessio Sakara in Rome because they were the only two kids who would spar each other because no one else would fight them. As they got older, Alessio introduced Lorenzo to MMA and he came to America to train with him at American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida.
Lorenzo Borgomeo made his EliteXC debut on February 16, 2008 in Miami, Florida submitting Mike Bernhard with an impressive triangle choke in the second round.
