DavidYork71 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log) is a stubborn and persistently uncooperative user with extreme POV and fringe views about Islam, the Nazi Party and Indonesian politics. Since he arrived on the project in January 2007, he has edit-warred almost continuously to insert his beliefs in related articles. Rather than engage the community regarding his controversial, unsourced, and often factually incorrect edits, he trolled on both his talkpage as well as the talkpages of others. A one-week block for disruption in April 2007 rapidly escalated to a one-month block, and later indefinite, after Checkuser confirmed the existence of several disruptive sockpuppets. He continued to edit-war through sockpuppets for most of April, and was banned by the community on April 23. The last version of his talk page prior to being protected clearly illustrates his behavior, as well as his disregard for the community.
His edit-warring has continued unabated since then; he has been the subject of a total of 26 Checkuser requests, all but one made since he was banned. These requests, as well as duck tests, have confirmed over 300 sockpuppets, and he is suspected of having over 100 more. As a result, many articles related to Islam, race and terrorism have had to be repeatedly semi-protected to keep him from editing.
Most of his anonymous IPs originate from Telstra, Australia's largest Internet provider.
