Hi, I was thinking that maybe you would like to join the WikiProject Turkey. There you can also find and contact users who are trying to improve Turkey-related articles. If you would like to get involved, just visit the participants page and/or inquire at the project's talk page. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or other member of the WikiProject Turkey. |

As far as I know, we are in need of copyeditors. If you want to, please do copyedit {{WPTR}} and {{WPKU}} articles and make other improvements, as well. Whaever you'd like. Thanks a lot. DenizTC 03:28, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WHY HAVE I BEEN BLOCKED.
I logged on today and found out that I've been indefinitely blocked. I am not this person: (User:AdilBaguirov); I have never seen or heard of that person. I have emailed the administrator who blocked me (User:Alex Bakharev) twice now and have yet to even receive a response. So I am forced to request an unblocking to clear my name and so I can be reintegrated back into the wikipedia community. LoNdIuM Speak to meContributions
- I have asked the blocking admin to comment. Please bear with us. Spartaz Humbug! 06:00, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
I think the editor should be given a second chance following his/her promise:
"If unblocked I promise not to edit any kind of disputed article and will make sure I balance everything in my writings. I also promise to use the talk page more. Better still I wont touch any article that is outside of England and Britain! I think the only crime I've done was being in the wrong place at the wrong time."
It seems to me that this ban was based on 'gut feeling', which can be sometimes useful. My 'gut feeling' is opposite to the 3 admins here. 3 admins agreeing on a ban must be something assuming there is no 'kinship of admins'. Why do I have this opposite 'gut feeling'? First, different interests (check [1] vs [2], only intersection possibly the list of iranic states article). Second different perspective (Iranian Azeri vs Turkish sympathizer, Iranian Azeri was an assumption, I am not so familiar with user:adibaguirov). Third, contributions, Londium's only major edit on the list of Iranic states article was removing the 'Turkic empires' there following his comments on the talk page. Last but not least, his unblock requests here, which gave me the impression that he is not a sockpuppet. Anyway, imo the worst that should be done to this editor was banning him/her from the 'Iranic' articles, certainly not banning completely, and the editor agreed to not do anything with those articles, and to be a 'good kid', anyway. He should be able to 'touch' non-British articles as well. DenizTC 02:05, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your recent edits
Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button
located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 18:33, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Neutrality Project
Hi, I'm trying to ensure that the Neutrality Project has not become inactive. If you would still like to participate in it, please re-add your name to the Review Team list. Jame§ugrono 08:07, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Invitation
Hello. You may have seen that some Wikipedia articles lack sources to given dates, timelines and chronologies.
If you feel that you could like to help in making all articles more reliable and well sourced in this regard, we would like to encourage you to use, as part of your daily editing and when {{fact}} is not enough for requesting clearly and specifically a citation or source for dates, timeline or chronology, the following inline tags:
- {{Histfact}} displays {history source needed} for requesting sources for historical claims and history context. Click here for more information
- {{Timefact}} displays {chronology source needed} for requesting timelines, dates and chronology sources. Click here for more information
At WP Timeline Tracer, we thank you for using these tools and for helping to make Wikipedia articles more accurate and reliable.
