Article is dominated by MPs in local constituencies and hostory of the council. Needs a good strong edit to refocus on the borough. MRSC 09:17, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Does the borough have a separate existence to its council? Surely information about 'place' should be on the individual pages that are linked to under the 'constituent areas' subheading. philcrbk 13:00, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Further to thinking about that, should former current and former residents include people (such as WG Grace, Jim Connell and Frederick John Horniman) who never lived in this borough? - perhaps they should be added to other pages, eg Metropolitan Borough of Lewisham page? philcrbk 13:07, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

No. That would be awful to manage. If someone was born during the met boro era but died during the London borough era, how should they be listed? The council election stuff could probably be spun out to an elections article. The article is still a mess with a load of random years now wikilinked for no apparent reason.
