[edit] Schools

Not sure that we should be listing all the primary schools in the Borough - it looks ugly! Possibly the secondary schools, but even that just ends up being a long list rather than prose. Paulbrock 00:13, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

The list may be ugly but I think it is better to be complete. Regarding "Further education" - since when did further education refer to over 16s? Over 18s surely? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.129.162.31 (talk) 11:10, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

In many boroughs, it's been spun out as an external list - List of schools in the London Borough of Bexley viz:. Strictly, there should not be external links within the articles. One reason for listing schools on, or linked to the borough pages is to prevent long duplicate lists being created for each 'neighbourhood' ..
It is an aspiration to have articles for all secondary schools, but I think it is useful to list the primaries too ... cheers Kbthompson 11:25, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Assessment & improvement

It's obviously not a stub any more. To improve this article:

  1. Reduce use of lists, consider turning lists to prose, consider spinning them out to specific topic linked lists (even then, the list should be supported by as much prose as possible). eg List of schools in the London Borough of Bexley, Politics in the London Borough of Bexley (for results table). Lengthy lists and tables break up the text and distract the reader from substantive information.
  2. In order to use the coat of arms, there needs to be a 'critical commentary' in the text - some info is available here. The text shouldn't be copied verbatim!
