Longview is a Canadian software company with products for performance management including planning, consolidation, forecasting, budgeting, reporting and tax provisioning.
In September of 2006 Longview acquired UK based Runservicenet in an effort to move towards an SOA architecture.
In September of 2007 Dutch ERP Vendor Exact Software announced plans to acquire Longview Solutions. Unlike other acquisitions happening in the performance management / business intelligence industry, Longview & Exact have no product overlap.
In November of 2007, the acquisition by Dutch ERP Vendor Exact software was completed.
Other notable vendors in the performance management space include SAP, Oracle, Business Objects and Cognos.
