Long-haul flights are journeyes by aeroplane that involve long distances around the world. They often, although not exclusively include non-stop flights.

They were first made possible after the advance in technology to enable a profitable service, which was both a product of and a contribution to the demand for cheep holidays in exotic locations around the world.
Recently however, they are linked with the problems of climate change and a need to think about the effect of lifestyles of people of the Western world and its affect on the world.
