[edit] History
Route E8 replaced the discontinued section of the E1 between Ealing Broadway and Brentford.
When the E-routes were tendered in the year 2000, E2 and E8 were transferred from Centrewest to Armchair at the Brentford garage, using new Dennis Dart SLF/Plaxton Pointers. But they only had one door and this caused trouble because the E2 and E8 are very busy routes. So when is came to the time, to renew these two routes' contracts in 2002, they were upgraded to new dual-door low-floor Dennis Darts with Plaxton Pointer 2s with the Armchair's new livery and wheelchair access.
