[edit] Summary

In an attempt to break the Guinness world record for the World's Longest Hot Dog, Franz Family Bakeries baked a 104' 9.5" hot dog bun at their Portland, Oregon facility. Once it exited the 40 foot oven, it had to be fed through a removed window from the outer bakery wall. This photo shows the bakers, press, and excited onlookers who showed up to witness history in the making.

Photo by Scott Dopierala, Integrated Bakery Resources, a Cargill Company.
