Here you left an edit summary stating "German refers to the language, not the country". I think you meant, "Austrian refers to the nationality, not the language" :) cheers. --Otheus 22:34, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

A note of advice, if you think that someone has violated the "personal attacks" policy, and you make a complaint to that editor's talkpage, please include a diff of the comment. This will make it easier for admins to review the behavior. Thanks, Elonka 04:34, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, that's good advice. lomis (talk) 15:19, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi Lomis. I just wanted to thank you for your message on my talk page. Much appreciated. Regards, AlasdairGreen27 (talk) 15:44, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

(replying to message from my talkpage) Gennarous has been blocked for 24 hours for edit-warring and incivility. However, I would like to point out that he does have a valid point, in that you were reverting him without engaging at talk. In the future, whenever you make a controversial change to an article, it is a good idea to immediately post something at the talkpage to explain your change. And when possible, try participating at talk before your change. Sometimes all it takes is a valid and civil concern expressed at talk, for an editor such as Gennarous to voluntarily adapt their own edits. Which is far preferable to engaging in a "tug of war" with the article.
I have been following Gennarous's contributions for several days, and though I'll freely admit that I am not familiar with the sources or content, it does seem that he's trying to be a better Wikipedian, and that he has been making Herculean efforts to try and be more civil. He's obviously very passionate about what he believes, but I don't think he's acting in bad faith. Do you really feel that every single one of his changes is inappropriate? Are there not any of his ideas that could be incorporated, towards finding some kind of compromise? --Elonka 22:28, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
