[edit] Image:Telaviv founding 1909.jpg
I don't remember where I got the Tel Aviv photo, but I've seen that identical pic in so many places that it must be PD. At the time I loaded that pic I didn't concern myself w/ copyrights. Dinopup 13:35, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:European Court of Human Rights.jpg
Thanks for the warning. The source information was probably lost when someone moved the image from the English Wikipedia to Commons. I restored it now. Kpalion 16:50, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Push for commons
I added {{Frianvändning}} as a good license. --Magnus Manske 12:15, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
- Many thanks. /Lokal_Profil 13:27, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Messages on my user page
Hi. Would it be possible for you not to add the entire template everytime you want to inform me about an image being tagged? It would be sufficient if you just added a link to the image. Thanks.

- Sorry, tankte inte ens pa att det var samma person (eller att det var du for den delen) som fick meddelandet var gang. Klistrar bara in lanken fran och med nu. /Lokal_Profil 15:51, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Edvard Munch - Madonna (1894-1895).jpg
Hi. I was going through Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion/2007 January 18 and saw your nomination of the above image. According to Commons:Template:PD-Norway, works published in Norway prior to 1900 are PD, regardless of when the author died. Can you clarify any other reason to believe that the image might still be subject to copyright? Thanks. --BigDT 04:56, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
- Please read the template carefully. It refers to photographs and documents, not paintings. / Fred-Chess 14:34, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] External pictures with permission
What's the best way to incorporate pictures owned by someone else that i have obtained permission from? external link or upload to commons? or some other way?
leaves - Marmelad
- The best way (assuming that you have a digital permission, is to upload the file (to Commons =P ) and enter correct license etc. Then in the permissions box you say that you've sent the permission to permissions@wikimedia.org. Then you send the permission to that address and give the name of the uploaded file. That way when the permission has been confiremd and archived an administrator shoul add a link to the permission form the image page
[edit] What is wrong with you people?
Dude, I a company I have the right of that photo for the bio on Wikipedia for the picture you tlaking about. Anybody can use that image. WHAT the hell are you tlaking about its unfree what crap are you tlaking about man. You guys ask a some stubit queshtions. The photos you have taked out sir, are in almsot every book in Albania and in Europe. Now i dont care if u are Americna, Albanian or what ever, i care about those pictures you took out of the bio i made for a famous albanian actress. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Niklogoreci (talk • contribs) 00:03, 7 April 2007 (UTC).
- The images didn't specify a source which had released the images as free. Also several images were screenshots from movies, and nowhere was there any info about the movies being free from copyright. The free in Wikipedia The Free Encyclopedia means that all material used must be free. /Lokal_Profil 22:39, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Östhammars_kommunvapen.svg
Thank you for uploading Image:Östhammars_kommunvapen.svg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Butseriouslyfolks 06:04, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] State infoboxes
Is there a good reason for why the infobox for each state is not based on a template? A template would make the article "code" more legible and would make any future changes in apperances easier. For an exemple of quickly put together alternative see User:Lokal Profil/testmall./Lokal_Profil 19:56, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
- I dont think there is a good reason for that. Agree on using templates. Im now adding the name of the 3 senators by state.. if you are working on creating a template pls consider that im currently adding the name of the senators (and its policial party) in the templates. [edit] Mary GrandPre photo
Hi. Will the move of the photo to WM Commons affect its appearance in WP's Mary GrandPre article? Thanks. Nightscream 16:28, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hi. No it won't. If you upload it under the same name to Commons then you won't even have to update the Mary GrandPre article. If you upload it under a different name then all you need to do is change the imagename in the article. If you run in to trouble or need help with uploading to commons just shout =) /Lokal_Profil 16:33, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

While on the subject; I understand that it must have been hard creating these but imo the Gothenburg one doesn't look anything similar to the "real one". This is an encyclopedia, shouldn't the images depict the correct COA? --Krm500 01:25, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- All CoAs are defined by ther blason i.e. a word description. As long as a rendition obeys the heraldic rules and the blasoning is is as "real" and "correct" as the one currently used by the municipality (lets call it the "official one").
- It was never my intention to make a version which looked like the "official one" for the very simple reason that it wouldthen be a derivative work and as such be unfree./Lokal_Profil 16:43, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- Okey, I buy that, but does that image follow the blason? As far as I know the municipality has the lion in the wrong direction. --Krm500 21:48, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
