Lois Long (illustrator)

Lois Long (born 1918) illustrated the "Mud Book. How To Make Pies and Cakes" published by Harry N. Abrams, Inc., in 1988 by John Cage and was also a friend of Cage.

The "Mushroom Book" appeared in 1972, with lithographs by John Cage and Lois Long and text by Alexander H. Smith. It weighs 12 stone and has 59 aluminum plates. Size 56.4 x 76.2 cm (22 1/2x 30 inches). Each book is hand-printed, numbered and signed by the artists. Published by Hollander Workshop, Inc. New York.
