Lohagara is located at 22.0083° N 92.1056° E . It has 33981 units of house hold and total area 258.87 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Lohagara has a population of 203453. Males constitute are 51.07% of the population, and females 48.93%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 95617. Lohagara has an average literacy rate of 34% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
