Lodewijk van Deyssel was the pseudonym of Karel Joan Lodewijk Alberdingk Thijm (Sep 22, 1864, Amsterdam - Jan 26, 1952, Haarlem), a Dutch literary critic and a leading member of the Tachtigers.
