Lochristi is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Beervelde, Lochristi proper, Zaffelare and Zeveneken. On January 1st, 2006 Lochristi had a total population of 20,111. The total area is 60.34 km² which gives a population density of 333 inhabitants per km².
