Local Long Tail
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The term Local Long Tail was first published by Ara Berberian in the Hyperlocal:ist blog on November 21, 2007. The Local Long Tail combines the idea of local search with the phrase The Long Tail made famous by Chris Anderson in an October 2004 Wired magazine article[1]and in a subsequent book of the same name.
According to Berberian, "the number of goods and services available locally that would interest you - if only you knew that they existed - would collectively outnumber or exceed the goods and services that you currently buy."
