Lanka Internet Network Group (LKiNG) is the Sri Lankan local committee for Asia Pacific Network Group.
As its parent organization, LKiNG is also interested in the advancement of networking infrastructure in Sri Lanka, and in the research and development of all associated enabling technologies.
The LKiNG mission is to promote the Internet, coordination of network inter-connectivity and promote collaborate research on Internet and networking.

- Facilitate collaborative research and development through the next generation (students, researchers, system operators).
- Provide a platform to share the experiences and knowledge among the researchers in the Universities and outside institutes.
- Open up Sri Lankan next generation to the global Internet communities.
- Facilitate local Internet infrastructure development with the collaboration of Universities, Research institutes, government and industry contributors.

The LKiNG consists of two main committees as advisory board and main committee. There are sub committees as program committee and university committees in addition to main committee.

The committee consists of the following officers
- The Chairman
- The Secretary
- The Vice Chairman
- The Treasurer
The chairman is appointed by the advisory committee from the members of the advisory board. The other members of the main committee are selected from the nominated members who would apply for these posts.

This is consists of professionals related to computer and IT areas. The first advisory board was appointed on invitation and thereafter the members will be appointed by the main committee.

LKiNG has open membership for any talented Sri Lankan who is interested in Internet and Networking.
