Ljubica Marić

Ljubica Marić (1909-2003) was considered to be one of the most original composers to emerge from Yugoslavia. She was a pupil of Josip Štolcer-Slavenski. She was known for being inspired by the Byzantic Orthodox church music. She was professor at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade and member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
