[edit] Humpty Dumpty

I have quoted Lord Atkin on Humpty Dumpty, as this was what made the case particularly famous, or notorious, depending upon one's corner. The text is widely available, I used a speech by Lord Popplewell quoted on http://www.judiciary.gov.uk/publications_media/speeches/pre_2004/popl-lec_271097.htm. If anyone can find a more cast-iron source please append it. According to Lord Popplewell it was this section of Lord Atkin's opinion which the Lord Chancellor Lord Simon asked him to remove. A BBC Radio 4 programme on this case alleged that Lord Maugham never spoke to Lord Atkin again. Sasha 16:15, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
