Live the Change, is a lime (TV) initiative to demonstrate real stories and small steps to help people live healthier, greener and better.
LIME.com bills this feature as a personal motivational toolbox. It contains simple tips to eco-friendly living, a carbon offset tool to measure impact on the planet, eco-forward petitions and movements you can participate in, as well as Blog the Change-- the real stories behind the big and small changes people are undertaking to make lives greener, healthier, and better.
In March 2007, LIME.com launched its first Live the Change community challenged called, Walk Out! To encourage people to walk more, users are asked to log onto lime.com/walkout[1] and input the number of minutes they walked each day. An algorithm converts minutes to miles, calories burned and the number of new trees that would have to be planted to offset carbon emissions created had they driven. The Lime community is asked to share videos, blogs and essays about how they've changed their lives.
