[edit] History

David Jones and Reid Beels in their sophomore year of High School began LiveWire for a small non-profit organization trying to reach teens via the Internet. On December 30, 2000 LiveWire went online. The first homepage was designed by Jones and Beels and looked like this. By January of 2002, LiveWire has 249 members. Sadly, in May of 2002 LiveWire is scheduled for shutdown because of budget cuts. David and Reid ask Community Works to let them operate LiveWire. By January of 2003 LiveWire has 5,950 members. In January of 2004, Free email accounts are added for all of it's members. In 2004, Reid Beels resgins from his position of co-administrator.
