Somebody deleted this article, without bothering to put it through AFD. I've restored this article. The person deleting the article lamely claimed "no assertion of notability." Well, such a person should raise the issue on the talk page before taking such drastic action.

Anyway: This article is a biography of a Fijian CHIEF. As such, she has a high status in Fijian society. Moreover, she comes from TWO royal families - the Vuanirewa Clan of Lau and the Tuisawau family of Rewa. Royalty from any country are considered notable enough for inclusion in Wikipedia. I don't disagree that she's notable now, however I'd just like to say that the words "chief" or "royal" do not appear in the article (chief is in the category, but that's it). As it is it basically says that she's someone's daughter, and someone else's wife, which is not an assertion of notabiltiy. To avoid these issues, the article needs to be clear about whatever notability she has. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 16:29, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
