[edit] Location

This article states that 'The city sits just east of the Great Dividing Range'. Shouldn't that be west?. Certainly my recollection of visiting Lithgow is that it was on the western flank of the Blue Mountains, and the article on the Great Dividing Range implies that the Blue Mountains is a local synonym for the GDR. -- Chris j wood 10:49, 5 September 2005 (UTC)

You are right of course - "east of the GDR" would put it for most folks on the coast. Have updated it.--cjllw | TALK 06:51, 26 September 2005 (UTC)

?? The Blue Mountains is not in the great dividing range. The GDR divides the western flowing rivers from the eastern ones, and the rivers near Lithgow definately flow (eventaully) to the east, as do those in the Blue Mountains. Also, the Zig Zag has not been superceded by engineering methods, rather the results of such methods.

Hi - just removed the [fictitous] description of the Lithgow Shamrocks and Grassy Knowles. Firstly, the Lithgow Shamrocks was a very real junior and senior rugby league club in Lithgow until the mid-1990's, when they merged with the Lithgow Workmen's Club (the other Lithgow Rugby League Club) to become the Lithgow Storm.

Also, Roy and HG do not refer to anyone called Grassy Knowles; they DO, however, refer to Grassy Grannell, who was also very real. Cheers AJ

Well, it won't let me change it, but someone should!!! Cheers AJ

[edit] Clean-up tag

I added the clean-tag to Notable Residents as I think a list would be more appropriate. Before starting the list, I'm looking for other options and opinions. Thanks Naysie (my tildes key is broken)
