Little Red Cap

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Little Red Cap" is a poem by Carol Ann Duffy, which is part of her collection The World's Wife (1999). The poem is a mature and feminist look at the classic fairytale Little Red Riding Hood. It shows the original fairytale in a dark, sexual way. Its title is derived from of the Grimm version of Little Red Riding Hood, which was called Little Red Cap. Some have argued that this poem was written about Duffy's relationship with the poet Adrian Henri.
