[edit] Winchester 1200 and 1400

Did I miss something? Where are the Win1200 & 1400? They're the #3- & 4-selling selfloading shotguns in U.S. history, says Harold Murtz, Gun Digest Treasury (DBI Books, 1994), p.194. Trekphiler 01:34, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Military/lawenforcement Bias

I must say that the shotgun article and the list of shotguns article seem to be very focused on the use of these firearms in a Military/law enforcement context. Shotguns were originally designed as sporting arms, and have become defense/assault weapons only recently. I feel that rather than being true "articles" both of these pages have been designed as a means for comparing random facts. Neither article has proper referencing, and both articles make a mockery of the Wikipedia ideal.--Jarrodhollinger 16:34, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

In my opinion, this article (List of shotguns) contains a fair number of civilian shotguns, and shotguns from outside the United States. I'm therefore going to remove the "wordview" banner, which says "The examples and perspective in this article, over represent the United States military. A less politicized tone should be sought by supplementing and supplanting the entry since, as a result, it may not represent a worldwide view of the subject." Also, ths article is a list, and is mainly intended to provide links to other articles. — Mudwater 03:56, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
