[edit] School districts or divisions
The term under Virginia statute is "school divisions," not "school districts." Also, Virginia school divisions differ from school districts in most states in the following key respect: Virginia school divisions are not separate units of governments, but are instead financially subordinate to their city, town, or county governments. Therefore, I propose that the article be moved and revised accordingly. Doctor Whom 19:23, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
- I would concur with a move to List of school divisions in Virginia. See this source for confirmation. Make sure you preserve links through this page with a redirect or something... MPS 20:17, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Incorrect States
The link for Montgomery Public Schools is to an article about schools in Alabama, not Virginia. This needs to be corrected to either an external link here or a Wikipedia entry on the Montgomery County Virginia Schools. Charlotte County Public Schools links to a school system in Florida. Madison Public Schools is for a system in New Jersey. EddieV2003 (talk) 21:44, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
