[edit] Buffalo Creek @Fairmont

FYI--further research needed...
There are various tributory streams in WV named Buffalo Creek, as is mentioned in this history. One is definitely a tributory of the Monongahela river forming the valley in which Mannington, West Virginia is located, and thus certainly not covered by the [[Buffalo Creek (South Branch Potomac River)|Buffalo Creek (Potomac)] link on this list page. Neither would, iirc, the geography of Logan County in southern WV lead one to think the Buffalo Creek mentioned in this strip mining caused disaster be a tributary of the Potomac, though it's conceivably possible if the ridgelines work out correctly. // FrankB 06:26, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
